How to apply to CSBA’s free workshop series on education workforce housing
For the past two years, CSBA has hosted a free workshop series for local educational agencies interested in preparing a plan for education workforce housing (EWH) for their employees. Through five sessions, LEA leaders connect with subject matter experts to receive guidance on topics such as financing, community engagement and development design. Participants will visit completed EWH sites and connect with the individuals responsible for the site’s success. LEA leaders will leave with a clear roadmap for their own project.
CSBA's application period for the 2025 cohort opens in September, and is expected to be competitive. Join this webinar to learn all the details of the EWH Workshop Series - the benefits, the commitments and how to improve your chances of being selected.

Don't fall for this. Vote NO on 13. This is a property tax increase on the California citizen. Los Angeles mailed out ballots to two cities omitting this from the ballots calling it an error in printing, this was no accident. Vote NO on this measure FD parcel tax.

I am opposed to special education teachers for the emotionally disturbed and/or socially maladjusted making and/or having a contract to teach each student for a certain number of years and/or to teach at least a certain number of students because it violates the US Constitution's Thirteenth Amendment, which forbids slavery, thus using children and teenagers as subject matter for a contract violates the students' human rights and it also violates the US Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, which mandates that each and every person be given equal protection under the law, thus it also violates the students' human rights. I am also opposed to placing children and teenagers who have a mental illness or any other disability into separate classes from children and teenagers who neither actually have a disability nor allegedly have a disability because it is not necessary in order for any student who actually has a disability to learn at his/her full potential, is not necessary in order for any student who allegedly has a disability to learn at his/her full potential, and is not necessary in order for any student who neither actually has a disability nor allegedly has a disability to learn at his/her full potential thus, it violates the students' rights under the US Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment. Furthermore, it ought to be illegal for a regular mainstream homeroom teacher or any other regular mainstream teacher whatsoever to (1) refuse to give permission to a youngster who used to disrupt classes but no longer does so to go on a regular mainstream school club trip and/or (2) tell the youngster to get the permission from a special education teacher; this is no way to reward the youngster for controlling his/her behavior and it causes the youngster irreversible psychological damage and it too violates the youngster's rights under the US Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment. Won't some teachers, fellow parents, students, and all other forms of people please respond to all of my complaints and to all of my comments? Please reply.

Interesting video. seems as though there is no hope for foster kids, though I can't speak as being one, because I never was. Where are those who've gotten out of the slump that want to help those still in it. where's that story? just curious. nicely shot. one angle, in sticks. but how about something out in the world, you could give it the same feeling, just put them in the environment. Have kids in placement or in schools struggling or not struggling and saying "I might not had to have struggled as much, if I had this program." You are all doing great with helping foster kids. this is just from a film makers point of you. lots of us have short attention spans. draw them in, to get your message out. Good day.

The fact of the matter is that the foods are healthy and all foods sold in schools must be whole grain and meet limits for sugar, fat and sodium. So, for the uninformed onlooker, it may appear that these foods are not healthy, but these items are not what you would buy at the gas station, just because they come in a wrapper. They are wrapped to ensure food safety and freshness and because there are not funds to more staff to cook the meals that you might wish to see in the school meal program. School breakfast is one of the best programs that exist in schools to support children and their families- these foods help HUNGRY children to start their day right. Everyone working in child nutrition is working under very tight nutritional guidelines and very tight budget limitation. Food is not nutritious until eaten and you have to provide foods that children will accept if you wish to accomplish that goal. Please make sure you are informed before you spout off about a program that assists over 50% of students in our country. Can you imagine where we would be without these resources for our children? Would you rather that children just go hungry? I didn't think so...

The food served in Breakfast in the Classroom is cheap, sugar laden, high calorie junk food. Look at the video and see the junk the kids are eating! We have this program at our school and we are trying to get rid of it! Obese and overweight kids are gaining more weight. There are now bugs and rodent problems due to the food in the classrooms. We are losing 20 minutes a day (2 weeks a year) of instructional time! Ask most teachers - they are NOT able to use that time for instruction! Los Angeles has a MUCH bigger problem with obesity in children than with real hunger. This is a money making scheme for LAUSD and other districts who get re-imbursed by the federal government for every breakfast in the classroom they push. SINCE 1975 ALL CHILDREN who qualified have been served a free breakfast BEFORE school or at morning break, IN THE CAFETERIA where food belongs AND it was a better quality breakfast. Junk food improves attendance and gets kids to school on time? Gee, I thought PARENTS were supposed to do that! Get rid of BIC and bring back breakfast in the cafeteria before the bell or at morning break...and improve the quality of the food!
